Course Description:
This course introduces learners to the various materials used in the construction industry, including their properties, classification, testing methods, and applications. Emphasis is placed on both traditional and modern construction materials such as stone, bricks, timber, cement, concrete, steel, glass, and polymers. Students will gain knowledge on the selection of materials based on structural requirements, durability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills necessary for identifying, testing, and evaluating the quality and suitability of materials for different building purposes.
